Just Purchased: Day and Age

Finally picked up the Killers new album "Day and Age." Review forthcoming.

Anyone out there own the album? What can I expect?

Day & Age.

At first, I didn't like it nearly as much as Hot Fuss & Sam's Town. It was weird. I thought that the only really fun songs were "Human" & "Spaceman."

I was wrong.

I find myself listening to Dustland Fairytale, a song about Brandon Flower's parents meeting in a trailer park lifestyle, about three times a day.

I really enjoy the tracks "I Can't Stay", "It's Your Life", & "Neon Tiger" equally as much as Dustland Fairytale. It was an interesting couple of days when I downloaded it from iTunes. I wasn't sure how I felt. It was The Killers, but it wasn't "For Reasons Unknown" or "Indie Rock & Roll."

However, after a few days I got into it and loved it. Now it's my most recently played album, just about every day. I highly recommend it. If you aren't sure how you feel about it at first, just let it play about three times. It grows on you.

Good luck, Adam.

Be sure to give Neon Tiger a few chances. It'll grow on ya.

I'm a little slow these days with the music, so I'll let you know in a year when it's already old news.

But hey, maybe this blog will help me out!
